Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., a State Government Enterprise invites applications for recruitment of Certified Plant Operators and Radiological Safety Officers (RSO) on contractual basis for its (Radiation Processing Plant for Agro & Food Products) at Ahmedabad. Educational Qualification and experience required are as under:
Post : Certified Plant Operators

• Qualification : Graduate in Science (Physics) / Diploma in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
• Work Experience : 2 Years experience in Radiation Processing Units

Post : Certified Radiological Safety Officers (R.S.O)

• Qualification : Post Graduate in Science (Physics) / B.E. (Electrical or (Mechanical)
• Work Experience : 2 Years experience in Radiation Processing Units

Plant Operators:
Responsibilities:-

• Licenced Operator
• Product Storage and Processing
• Records of Processing Breakdown and Maintenance
• Placement of Dosimeters and Retrieval
• Cycle Time
• Message Book for Shift Incharge
• Equipment and Plant Maintenance
• Calibration of Instrument
• Inventory of Spares required for the Plant
• Any interruption in the Plant Operation and Action taken

Radiological Safety Officers (R.S.O.):
Responsibilities:-

• Licenced R.S.O.
• General Safety checks of the facility and any unusual occurrence
• Periodical checking of all Safety Systems provided in the facility
• Local Safety Committee Recommendation and their Implementation
• Calibration of Portable Survey meters.
• Process Specifications
• Shift Management
• Product Scheduling
• Good Radiation Practice
• Maintenance of Record pertaining to Plant Operation and Product Procesing.
• Periodical Preventive Maintenance
• Inventory of Plant Wares
• Servicing of Equipments

General Notes

1. The appointment will be purely on contractual basis for a period of months, which may be extended on mutual consent for a maximum period of 3 years.
2. The selected candidates shall not be entitled for any service benefits otherwise available to regular employees of the Corporation.
3.
